Emiliya Adelson, Ph.D.

Dr. Emiliya Adelson is a Licensed Psychologist in Georgia who earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Psychology at Tulane University. Dr. Adelson’s doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency were conducted at the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, where she honed her skills in providing psychological evaluations to students, individual therapy and groups supporting children’s psychological well-being, and collaborating with families, school staff, and community health providers. She has gained experience in diverse settings including elementary and secondary schools, private practice, a supportive therapeutic educational program, a preschool assessment center, and a community mental health center. Dr. Adelson is skilled in providing psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. She also offers therapy to children and adolescents as well as parent training and support. Dr. Adelson’s approach is compassionate, collaborative, and supportive. She strives to create a safe, warm, and authentic relationship, which empowers individuals to find strength and experience personal growth. When conducting evaluations, her goal is to work with families to understand the unique strengths and needs of their children and to help them set up optimal support systems across settings.
